Setting a Task Step-by-Step

Follow these simple steps to create a new task:

- Click New Task on the toolbar.
- Select the program to control from the list or browse for its executable file.
- Name the task and give it some description.
- Set the task execution time (choose the date and enter the time in 24h format).
- If the chosen program does not have a controlling interface that Smooth Program Scheduler can use, then the only available action for it is "Execute" that automatically shows up. For more complicated situations check the page about scheduled audio recordings.
- If you are creating a task for just one occasion then you can now click Create and the job is done, or you can set some recurrence pattern first and then finish with Create button.
