| XemiComputers
(www.xemico.com) has released
new generation of its popular recorders, Audio Notes Recorder and
Claudio, Windows programs that can record sound from any source
available on the computer's sound card.
The programs got full support for OGG Vorbis audio compression
format both on exporting and importing sound files. This new feature
does not depend on any external programs/codecs and it will work
for all sound qualities available with them.
OGG Vorbis is an audio compression format comparable to other formats
used in computer sound files, such as MP3, VQF, AAC, and other digital
audio formats. OGG format is becoming more and more popular with
developers because it is completely free, open, and unpatented while
maintaining equally high sound quality.
Main differences between the programs are in that Audio Notes Recorder
is limited to 8-bit mono recordings and max 2GB per cassette file.
Claudio on the other hand offers full specter of sound qualities
(up to 44KHz 16-bit stereo) and unlimited cassette file size on
NTFS file system.
Single user license for Audio Notes
Recorder costs 19.90 USD.
Claudio is 29.90 USD, but includes
the other program.
Quantity discounts are available directly from the manufacturer's
website.
