This is the place where you make final decisions about the screen
saver that is going to be created for you, so we strongly recommend
you to read the page carefully and try to completely understand
each of the options available.

Internet .SCR with built-in scenario
This type of screen saver gives viewers the opportunity to
see initial screen saver scenario even without Internet connection.
Everything looks like a standard screen saver until the moment changes
are detected and new scenario and screen saver component files downloaded
over the Internet. When all files are successfully downloaded, screen
saver automatically restarts with the new scenario. Viewers do not
have to do anything special because download is completed in the
background while the previous version of the screen saver is running.
Internet .SCR only
This type of screen saver is initially just a player engine without
any scenario built-in. When a viewer starts it for the first time
it will display a progress bar and start downloading screen saver
scenario and component files. When all files are successfully downloaded
the screen saver will start playing and from that point onwards
everything works like with a screen saver with built-in scenario.
The main advantage of this type of screen saver is smaller file
to download initially. Of course, main disadvantage is that viewer
will not be able to see anything but download progress screen until
download of all screen saver component files is successfully completed.
Standard .SCR
This type of screen saver has built-in scenario and all screen saver
component files, but can not be automatically updated via Internet.

Screen saver .SCR file
Makes standard screen saver .SCR file that works on all Windows
platforms (95/98/NT/Me/2000/XP).
Screen saver installer .EXE file
Makes .EXE file that contains standard screen saver .SCR file and
options for screen saver preview, installation and removal
Files to upload to Internet screen saver's web
location
Creates three separate ISSB source files (issb.html, issb_text.html
and issb_config.html) and saves all necessary screen saver component
files (images, media/flash files) to the local destination folder
ready for upload to internet screen saver's web location. It is
recommended that you check your server what kind of file names are
acceptable to upload via FTP (small case, upper case, mixed case)
before you even start developing your screen saver and make sure
you use proper file names. Otherwise, it might happen that your
Internet screen saver will not work.
Issb.html file is actually a text file that contains the screen
saver scenario formatted as HTML comment between reserved <ISSB></ISSB>
tags and as such is ready for inclusion by simple copy & paste
into any HTML document (it does not have any other HTML tags and/or
formatting). So, you can either use issb.html file directly or you
can put its contents into some other file that you will specify
in "Internet screen saver URL" box.
Issb_text.html file is also a text file formatted as HTML, this
time using special <ISSBText></ISSBText> tags that define
all text messages that appear in the screen saver. This file enables
the end user to only download the textual portion of the screen
saver if any changes to it have been made, instead of downloading
the entire screen saver.
Issb_config.html contains information that define the Internet screen
saver update period. Through the use of this file it is possible
to make changes to the Internet screen saver update period, as opposed
to having it updated with the same frequency constantly (e.g. end
user's screen saver set to search for updates every 30 minutes can
be switched to another update periond, say, 24 hours without any
effort by the end user). You can also redirect the screensaver to
a new web location by adding this simple tag: <Redirect>NewWebLocationURL</Redirect>.
Please note that a new web location information is stored in the
system registry and if removed from there the screensaver will automatically
roll back to the original web location.
|

Internet screen saver URL
Enter your internet screen saver's web location here. If you
enter an URL which is a domain name or points to a folder only, internet
screen saver will search for file named issb.html first and if it
does not exist internet screen saver will accept default page file
returned by server and look for screen saver scenario in it. Alternatively
you can enter direct URL for a file that will contain screen saver
scenario and internet screen saver will look for its scenario there.
|
Check for changes every XX minutes/hours/days
Set the minimum interval for your internet screen saver to wait before
checking for new version. Choose the interval carefully and think
about the consequences. If not sure, opt for a longer interval. If
at a later date it is decided that the interval needs to be changed,
by creating and uploading a new issb_config.html that contains a different
update period the interval will be changed.

|

Screen saver file name
File name you type here will be used for creating following
screen saver project files in all cases: .XIS, .SCR, .EXE, .ISS
Local destination folder (Browse)
It is strongly recommended to use separate folders for different
screen saver projects or different versions of the same project
to avoid confusion about which files belong to which screen saver
projects and to avoid unintentional overwrites. You do not have
to use Browse button, instead you can type in destination folder
directly and if it does not exist program will automatically create
it when you click Make.

Do not show screen saver before checking for
changes
This option affects execution of an internet screen saver
on a viewer's computer. If enabled, when the interval set as minimum
to wait before checking for new version passes, screen saver will
not show its contents any more before it gets a chance to check
its web location and either verify there have not been any changes
or it downloads new scenario and all necessary screen saver component
files. Be careful with using this option. It is mostly suitable
for intranets or viewers with constant Internet connection when
a screen saver contents is critical and you do not want to let it
display if expired.
Rename output files to match screen saver file
name
Enable this option if you want to keep different screen saver projects
or different versions of the same project in one folder. All files
in one screen saver project will have the same file name stem so
you can easily distinguish between projects.
Install screen saver as default on this computer
Automatically copies .SCR file to your C:\Windows\System folder,
sets it as default screen saver and opens Control Panel / Display
/ Screen Saver dialog so you can check & adjust other settings
immediately.
Upload generated files
Enable this option to get FTP Upload dialog right after Make dialog
completes its work. By setting parameters for your FTP server you
will be able to put all internet screen saver's files to its web
location directly from Internet ScreenSaver Builder. Please note
that this FTP upload does not have crash recovery and it will send
all files each time overwriting any existing files. Scroll down
to see FTP upload dialog's screen shot explained.
|

Use HTTP authentication for screen saver
Enable this option if you want to limit access to your internet screen
saver. If you leave username and password fields blank, users will
have to configure internet screen saver by themselves and type in
valid username and password in its settings dialog. Basic HTTP authentication
is used. To set it up consult manuals for your web server or contact
your web site administrator. |

of FTP Upload dialog. When you are ready to upload click Upload,
use Abort upload to stop file transfer if necessary. FTP server
response will show up in Status box.
