What is New in Flash ScreenSaver Builder 4.8

  Direct Flash Scr Tool

This special tool is designed to be used when CPU usage is critical. Screensaver's engine is optimised for flash so CPU usage will depend solely on a flash file. What you get as a final product is the screensaver's .SCR file and .EXE installer for it. You will find this new option in the Tools menu of the program.

What was New in FSSB 4.7

  Make Flash Presentation Scr

You will find this option in the Tools menu of the program. It allows you to make a screensaver of a very special kind. You will select a flash .SWF file, type in a screensaver file name, then click Make and the screensaver is ready. When such screensaver runs, it has Exit button displayed in the top right corner all the time and plays the flash file on the rest of the screen. Since mouse pointer is visible and fully operational you can make very advanced screensavers based on interactive flash.
(NOTE: due to complexity of flash there is no guarantee that each and every flash file you try will work with this option)

What was New in FSSB 4.5

  Three Additional Image File Formats

In addition to BMP and JPG formats the program now supports PCX, TGA and PNG image file formats as well.

  Support For Midi Files

From now on you will be able to use Midi sound files (.MID) in your screensavers.

  Text Justification

Text command is enhanced with three standard justification options: left, center, right.

  Preview Available For Image Selection

When selecting images to add to your screensaver project you will be able to see the small image preview directly in the open new image dialog.

Full Screen Resize With Original Aspect

If you are using Full screen option to resize an image, now you can also enable Original aspect option for it. In that case the image will be resized to the max possible size that maintains its original aspect within limits of the full screen size.

What was New in FSSB 4.2

  Flash-to-SCR Quick Tool

Thanks to this new option you can have your flash screensaver in a matter of seconds. All you have to do is select a flash file and the program will immediately create standard screensaver .SCR file, installer .EXE file and screensaver definition .FSD file in the chosen destination folder. Once all files are created you will get the oportunity to go straight to that folder and try your screensaver.

  Flash Playback Timer Control

Now you can set the exact playback time for a flash file. It is especially useful for flash files that are made with action scripts as in those cases screensaver can not know when it should stop playing the flash file. If you set this option to 0 screensaver will play the flash file in an endless loop.

  Resize images

When you set an image you can change its original size to a custom size. You can also change image size later in the development and it will automatically affect all Show and Move commands. Additionally, you can set "full screen" option for an image and screensaver will automatically stretch it to full screen resolution.

  11 New Transition Effects

Total number of transition effects is now 84 and new effects are: Crossed (Left, Right), Boxed (Grow, Shrink), Triangle, Roll (Left, Right, Top, Bottom, Horizontal, Vertical).
