  Desktop positioning & size options

You can now change the position for central view from central to custom by setting its top left corner coordinates. For side bar view you can change the position of the calendar in a similar way, and you can also change the size and position of the side bar view itself.

  JPG Wallpaper Support

DeskLook now works with both .BMP and .JPG wallpapers.

Open Outlook Contacts directly from the desktop

This is an addition to desktop interactivity. By double clicking on a new graphic link displayed just right to the DeskLook title you can bring up Outlook Contacts directly. If you do not need this option you can disable it in Settings and the graphic link will be removed from the desktop.

Hide on desktop lock (Windows 2000/XP only)

When this option is enabled DeskLook will automatically remove data from the desktop when you lock the computer and bring them back when you unlock it. This option only works on Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

  Interactive Desktop Functions

With interactive desktop functions enabled (program's default) you can double click on an appointment directly on the desktop to get it opened in Outlook. The same goes for a task, a message folder or a calendar date. Additionally, if you double click on a section title (Calendar, Messages, Tasks) you will create new appointment, mail message or task in Outlook. Double clicking on the program title (DeskLook) opens the Outlook. Interactivity is also available for popup central data view and it works all the time with single clicks.

  New Item System Tray Options

This option allows you to create new appointment, task or mail message in Outlook directly from DeskLook's system tray menu.

What was new in DeskLook 2.0

  Side bar data view

This new data view is designed to save space in the center of the screen. All data are displayed in one column on the right side of the screen. Additionally, for this data view you can choose exactly which data to display (appointments, tasks and messages) and you can also enable/disable calendar display if you think it is in your way.

  Transparency

Transparency will allow you to keep your favorite wallpaper and have Outlook's data blended with it. You set the percentage by yourself.

  12/24h time format

With this option you can explicitly choose between 12/24h time formats for displaying Outlook's data on desktop.

  Popup data

This might be the quickest way to take a look at your data. Just double click on the program's system tray icon and central data view will popup temporarily on top of the screen.

  Hide data

Using this option you can easily hide data without exiting the program if that is necessary. You will find this option in the program's system tray menu.

  Launch Outlook on start

DeskLook is now able to start your Outlook so you can use its launch on startup option to have both programs automatically started each time you switch on your computer.
