Settings - General Options

General
Launch DeskLook on StartUp
Enable this option if you want DeskLook to start automatically
when you start your computer. Factory default setting for this option
is enabled.
Launch Outlook on Start
Enable this option if you want Outlook to start automatically when
you start DeskLook. Factory default setting for this option is disabled.
Show splash screen
Use this option to enable/disable splash screen during DeskLook
startup. Factory default setting for this option is enabled.
Keep DeskLook wallpaper on Exit
If you want to keep DeskLook wallpaper when you exit DeskLook,
enable this option. Otherwise, DeskLook will set wallpaper back
to the one existing before it was started. Factory default setting
for this option is disabled.
Data check interval
Set interval between two checks of Outlook's data. If DeskLook
detects changes in relevant data it will update the wallpaper accordingly.
This operation should not consume too much of computer resources
because Outlook will be present in memory all the time. Factory
default setting for this option is 20 seconds.
Use Interactive Desktop
Toggles the use of interactive desktop functions on and off. If
it is enabled, you can choose whether you want interactive desktop
functions to be operated with a double mouse click (the default
setting) or a single mouse click.
With interactive desktop enabled you can double click on an appointment
directly on the desktop to get it opened in Outlook. The same goes
for a task, a message folder or a calendar date. Outlook's calendar
is always opened in one-day view. Additionally, if you double click
on a section title (Calendar, Messages, Tasks) you will create new
appointment, mail message or task in Outlook. Double clicking on
the program title (DeskLook) opens the Outlook.
Note: you can not disable interactivity on popup central
data view and it always works with single clicks.
Show Desktop Tooltips
If interactive desktop is enabled you can also choose to have desktop
tooltips enabled or disabled (enabled by default). If enabled desktop
tooltips are displayed when you bring the mouse pointer over an
Outlook item or calendar date on the desktop.
Show link to Outlook Contacts
Displays an interactive graphic link to your Outlook Contacts just
right to the DeskLook title on the desktop.
Hide on desktop lock (Windows 2000/XP only)
When this option is enabled DeskLook will automatically remove
data from the desktop when you lock the computer and bring them
back when you unlock it. This option only works on Windows 2000
and Windows XP.
System Tray Double Click Action
Choose here what should happen when you double click on DeskLook's icon
in the system tray. DeskLook can: display its Settings Dialog, start
Microsoft® Outlook®, Show/Hide Desktop Data or Popup central
data view on top of the screen (factory default).
System Tray Icon
If you want system tray icon to display current day of the month number,
select "Date Icon" (factory default) option. Otherwise, standard
program icon will be used.
Help
About
Brings up splash screen with basic information about the program version,
manufacturer and license.
Factory Settings
Use this option to set all parameters back to factory defaults.
Settings - Appereance & Positioning

Data View
Select what kind of data view you want: Central or Side bar (factory
default).
Central view
Central view is predefined with contents depending on the chosen
Data Style. Blue style shows three months calendar with appointments
in the left column, messages in the middle and tasks in the right
column. Green style also shows three months calendar, but only with
appointments on the left and tasks on the right. Finally, brown
style displays one month calendar with tasks on the left and appointments
on the right.
You can set the position for central view either by choosing Center
option when it will be displayed centered on the screen, or by setting
its top left corner by yourself after enabling Position controls.

Side bar view
With Side bar view you can choose components to show on the desktop
(calendar, appointments, tasks, messages), set size and position of
the side bar, and set desktop position of the calendar .
Show calendar
Toggles whether the calendar will be displayed on your desktop.
When you enable the calendar you can also set its exact position
on the desktop by setting top left corner coordinates.

Show appointments
Toggles whether appointments will be displayed on your desktop.
Side bar space is divided between appointments, tasks and messages
as following. If messages are enabled then the program first reserves
the space for them according to the number of selected folders
in Outlook Today. The space that is left is then divided between
appointments and tasks according to specified Appointments/Tasks
ratio. A disabled component does not use any space.
Show tasks
Toggles whether tasks will be displayed on your desktop.
Side bar space is divided between appointments, tasks and messages
as following. If messages are enabled then the program first reserves
the space for them according to the number of selected folders
in Outlook Today. The space that is left is then divided between
appointments and tasks according to specified Appointments/Tasks
ratio. A disabled component does not use any space.
Show messages
Toggles whether messagges will be displayed on your desktop.

Bar Size and Position
Side bar width

Right margin
Appointments/Tasks aspect
Defines appearance ratio for appointmets and tasks on the side
bar. Leftmost position means only appointments and rightmost
position only tasks will be shown. Center position (50%) means
equal division of space between appointments and tasks.
Regardless of the selected aspect, if either appointments
or tasks option is disabled, the entire available side bar space
will be allocated to tasks or appointments, respectively.
Transparency
Finally, you can set the Transparency percentage and DeskLook will
blend Outlook's data with your favorite wallpaper (factory default
for this option is 30%).
Data Style
Select one of three available DeskLook styles: Blue (factory default),
Green or Brown.
First Day of the Week
Select which day of the week should be the first on DeskLook's calendar.
You can choose Monday, Sunday or Use Outlook's (factory default).
If you choose "Use Outlook's" DeskLook will use the day
set in Microsoft® Outlook®'s Calendar Options dialog.
Show week numbers
Enable this option if you want to display week numbers on DeskLook's
calendar. Factory default setting for this option is enabled
Time Style
Choose here which time format should be used to display data on desktop.
If you stay with Use Outlook's option (factory default) DeskLook will
use the same time format as you have in your Outlook, but you can also
force either 12h (am/pm) or 24h views.

Register DeskLook
Opens program registration dialog. Type in your name and registration
code and click Register to complete the process.
OK
Closes Settings dialog and applies all changes.
Cancel
Closes Settings dialog. All changes made will be lost.
Apply
Applies all changes without closing Settings dialog.
