Title Ticker
Shows the name of the current cassette and current track as well as
time stamp when the track was recorded. Ticker temporarily stops when
mouse pointer is over it and tooltip shows full information. Click on
it to edit message notation. Right-click on it to get quick menu with
following commands and options:
- Mix Tracks
- Delete Track
- Empty cassette
- Rename cassette
- Rearrange cassette
- Edit Title
- Ticker Speed
- Ticker Direction
Volume (master/wave out)
Click "+" or "-" to increase or decrease volume. Open Settings/Options
dialog to choose whether this volume control will affect Master or
WaveOut volume.
Minimize to SysTray
Minimizes Claudio to systray icon. To bring it back on the screen just
click on its systray icon or choose Show Claudio command from
right-click systray menu. If you wish to exit the program right click
on its systray icon and choose Exit command.
Time counter
Shows current track length (left) and current position within the track
(right).
Recording quality indicator
Shows sound quality parameters for the current cassette:
- Mono/Stereo
- Low/Medium/High sample rates (11/22/32/44/
48/88/96/192kHz)
- 8/16-bit samples
Track number
Shows current track number and total number of tracks on the cassette.

Exact time positioner (ETP)
Use this slider in stop and playback mode by simple click or click and
drag technique to get quick access to any part of a recorded track.
If your mouse has a wheel you can use it for navigation both in stop
and play mode.
Volume Controls
Depending on selection in Settings dialog, click on this
button will either give you easy access to Windows Volume Controls
(default behavior) or act as a switch to show/hide Claudio's Volume
Controls Panel.
NOTE: Windows Vista users will always have three options here: Mixers,
Playback Devices and Recording Devices.
Pause
Standard self-explanatory command.
Record
Standard self-explanatory command. If pressed during recording works
like Pause.
You can make scheduled recordings with Claudio but for that to
work you need one more program of ours called Smooth Program Scheduler.
That program is free to use and available for download from www.xemico.com.

Play
Standard self-explanatory command. If pressed during playback works
like Pause.
Stop
Standard self-explanatory command.
Previous track / Slow play
This is a multifunctional button. Clicking it in Play mode will slow
down track reproduction. Four lower speed levels are available by
successive clicks and to get back to normal speed just click back the
same number of times in the opposite direction (Fast Play). In Stop
mode this button allows you to move towards the first track recorded on
the current cassette.
Rewind
Standard self-explanatory command. If your mouse has a wheel you can
use it for navigation both in stop and play mode.
Forward
Standard self-explanatory command. If your mouse has a wheel you can
use it for navigation both in stop and play mode.
Next track / Fast play
This is a multifunctional button. Clicking it in Playback mode will
speed up track reproduction. Four higher speed levels are available by
successive clicks and to get back to normal speed just click back the
same number of times in the opposite direction (Slow Play). In Stop
mode this button allows you to move towards the last track recorded on
the current cassette.
Eject
Opens dialog for creating new or loading old cassette file.
When you want to create a new cassette select sound quality parameters
first, then click Create New Cassette File button. You can choose any
combination of following parameters:
- Stereo/Mono
- (11/22/32/44/
48/88.2/96/192Khz) sampling rate
- 8/16-bit samples
To open an existing cassette file click Open Old Cassette File. If
cassette file you are opening was created with a version of the program
lower than 6.0 its header will automatically be converted to the new
format.
Show/Hide tracks
Edit track title
Opens dialog for editing current track title.
Delete track
Deletes current track.
Rearrange tracks
Opens dialog for rearranging contents of the current cassette. It gives
you the oportunity to move tracks up or down the list, delete more than
one at a time, merge two or more tracks into one and save all those
changes at once to the current or brand new cassette. Available
options:
- Move Up
- Move Down
- Delete
- Merge
- Save Changes
- Save As New Cassette
- Append to Existing Cassette
Rename cassette file
Opens dialog for changing the file name of the current cassette.
Empty cassette
Completely deletes (empties) current cassette. All previously recorded
tracks are lost.
Signal animation
Visual representation of record/playback signal.
Direct track selection
Click on a track on the list to select it, double-click to start
playback immediately.
Scroll track list
If track list is long use these arrows to scroll it.
Recording quality indicator
Shows sampling rate parameter for the current cassette.
- L - 11/22Khz (low)
- M - 32/44/48Khz (medium)
- H - 88/96/192KHz (high)
Import WAV/OGG/MP3
Use this option to import WAV, OGG Vorbis or MP3 sound files.
Note: Claudio supports MP3 on conditional
basis. It requires Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer3 (MP3) codec to be already
installed on your computer.
Export track/cassette
Export option allows you to export current track/cassette to one of six
available file types:
- WAV
- OGG
- MP3
- WAV in EXE
- OGG in EXE
- MP3 in EXE
Send to e-mail recipient
This option allows you to send current track/cassette by E-Mail as an
attachment. There are six file types to choose from:
- WAV
- OGG
- MP3
- WAV in EXE
- OGG in EXE
- MP3 in EXE
Scroll mixers (volume controls)
Use these arrows to access all available sound mixers (volume
controls).
Mixers (volume controls)
Number of available sliders depends on the sound card driver. You can
use direct click or click and drag technique to set volume level.
Master volume control
This volume control is fixed to master playback volume. Click "+" or
"-" to increase or decrease volume.
Mute all
Standard self-explanatory command.
Select recording mixers (volume controls)
Volume controls are divided into two groups: recording controls and
playback controls. Click this button to select recording volume
controls.
Select playback mixers (volume controls)
Volume controls are divided into two groups: recording controls and
playback controls. Click this button to select playback volume
controls.
Mixer switch (select/mute)
If the indicator is green accompanying source is open. Click on it for
change.

Track editor
Opens track editor for removing unwanted parts of a recording and
splitting tracks.
