To upgrade the program
you just have to install new version to the same folder as before
over the old one, so:
Download new program installation archive ADC.EXE to your desktop or some temporary folder.
Right click on the program's icon in the system tray and
choose Exit.
Double click on adc.exe to start the installation, then follow instructions on the screen and install the program to the same folder as before over the old version. We strongly recommend you to close down all other programs before starting the installation process.
Start the program again by double-clicking the Active Desktop Calendar icon on the desktop.
Important! If you are sharing calendar layers
in a local area network
and want to upgrade from version 4.x (or older) to version 5.0
(or later)
please note that you will have to upgrade all computers at once
because
older versions of the program can not read new layer file format
correctly.
After you finish with installing upgrades make some change (e.g.
add new
note) to all shared layers and they will automatically refresh
with a new
format throughout the network.
Notes:
The new version should automatically recognize your registration,
but we still recommend that you keep your registration code in
a safe place so you
can use it again if anything goes wrong. If you have lost the order confirmation
message you can read your registration code from the program. To do that
right click on the program's icon in the system tray and choose About.
The registration code consists of 17 symbols (two "-" included).
To check the version number you have right click on the
program's icon in the system tray and choose About.
To check the current version number go to the program's
homepage (build number is just right of the free download link).
There you can
also subscribe
to the
program's newsletter to be informed about all new versions on time.
